At Segval Builder, we are currently transforming a traditional Abbotsford weatherboard home into a modern Duplex house. What was once a single residence with a long driveway, ageing garage, and large backyard is now being reimagined as two architecturally designed Dual Occupancy homes.
The original home occupied only a portion of the site, leaving significant unused space along the driveway and rear yard. Our team carefully planned a Side by side design that allows two independent residences to sit comfortably on the block while maintaining privacy and natural light. The existing dwelling has been removed and replaced with a contemporary two floor layout that increase every square metre.
As construction progresses, the shape of the development is now clearly visible. The steel structure, external cladding, brickwork, glazing, and roofing have been completed, while internal fit out works are well advanced. Custom joinery has been installed throughout the homes, including feature cabinetry, built in wardrobes, and premium kitchen storage solutions.
The open staircases, skylights, and large windows create a bright and welcoming atmosphere, bringing natural light deep into the centre of each residence. Mechanical services, including air conditioning systems, have also been installed as part of the final stages of construction.
