From empty slab to full frames
Not long ago, this block held a single, tired old house. Wall by wall, room by room, the shape of each unit took form. Roof trusses went up next, and suddenly the footprint of three separate homes was easy to picture.
Where the project stands today
Today, the site has changed face completely. The external walls carry a smooth render in a warm sand tone, and the black aluminium fencing along the boundary gives the whole development a sharp, contemporary edge. The double glazed windows are in, and the fascia and guttering are nearly complete.
Step inside and you will find the plasterboard hung, with the stopping well underway across the ceilings and walls. Once those patches are sanded back, the paint goes on, and that is when each home really comes to life. The concrete floors have been prepared and sealed ready for floor coverings, and the heating ducts are in place overhead. From here we move into the internal fit out: kitchens, bathrooms, joinery, then the facade finishes that give each townhouse its own street presence.
